3/25/18 – Great Hike. Long day! Microspikes definitely needed from the stream crossing onward. We saw several people slip and fall. The recent snow had completely frozen over. It was a gorgeous site. The snow looked pristine, but with microspikes you could walk right across without hardly leaving a mark. We didn't quite make it down before dark, so we spent about an hour hiking with headlamps in the the freezing weather. Ice was forming inside Nalgene bottles while hiking. Insulated bladder tube froze solid. It was a cold one! The views at the top were amazing. Definitely stop by the stone hut and sign the hike log. First peak of 2018 complete!
