#teamRoMo set off around 9 am. The road to Chantry Flats was open and they had just started the clearing of the road from the rain. We picked a good day for the gov shut down to be lifted. The weather was clear and about 55 to 60 degrees all day.
The trail was in great condition and it was green everywhere. The stream we’re running strong after the rain and provided a great sound track in the lower part of the hike. The waterfall was stunning and the views were amazing at the top. We met some great folks near the observatory before heading back down. I’d recommend starting earlier to avoid the nigh hike.
