I arrived at Chantry Flats at 640am and there were NO adventure passes left. I waited until 715am and parked at Adam's pack station. I took the Sturtevant Trail starting at 730am to the top. According to FitBit, I walked 9 miles to the top.  The first 4 miles was beautiful scenery, followed along the river, and very few bugs. Once I passed Sturtevant camp the area became rocky and filled with bugs. The ascent was steep and tiring but only lasted a few miles. The last couple iles was back to dirt and the bugs diminished.  I reached the top! Boy was I tired and debated on calling Uber LOL.  I met up with other hikers for the trek down. WE went down Upper Winter Creek trail and it was beautiful, lots of dirt, ferns, and bugs minimal as long as you kept walking.  I took the Lower creek trail and passed through Hoegees campground, which then brought me to the bottom of Roberts camp, where I had to make the last 3/4mile uphill on the asphalt. This had to be the toughest part of the hike since I know I was close. I finished in 8 hours and hiked 18 miles according my FitBit. It was an eye opening experience, as I had never hiked that many miles in one day. The most I have ever done was 7, but I succeeded and look forward to the next one
