~ love spending time on these mountains with my niece, Kirsten. She is such a joy and she is faster than me as she is a runner. Thanks for the summit adventures and slowing down for this old timer. Lol &

~Up in the dark, started as the sun § was coming up over the mountains « • We started with Strawberry Peak summit from Red Box Canyon and then to Mt. Wilson from Red Box Canyon. We took the easier route up Mt. Wilson today. Mt. Wilson observatory and stores are closed. The gates are closed to cars. However hiking the trails is still an option. Rocky and 1 have done Mt Wilson this year from Sierra Madre so this a bonus day. Last time was freezing and a storm was coming in. Today was perfect weather ~

~ We hiked to the Mueller tunnel from the Eaton Saddle trailhead and there is still water inside but passable. You might get your boots wet ~

• Strawberry Peak is so beautiful right now with some snow remaining next to the trails. No snow on the actual trail and the trails are clear.
• Mt. Wilson has snow along the roads and trails towards to summit starting from Red Box Canyon. There were people sledding. i Lol The walking trails are clear of snow~
