This was the first hike that I did as part of the challenge were mosquitoes were present.  I'm a magnet for them so unfortunately my hiking buds might have gotten bit as well.  Sorry….  They were only present at the base and for a short period up the trail so it wasn't too bad.  I had insect repellent on but I didn't reapply when we finished our hike so I got quite a few bites.  Regardless, the hike was still enjoyable and it was nice seeing the American Flag at the peak.  The switch backs and view of the summit for the last 1/4 of a mile seemed difficult but really weren't bad.  We took a break and freshened up prior to tackling this last part so we were in good shape.
