Started out around 0900. Street parking only close to parking lot. Followed recommendations to go counter clockwise. Trail is overgrown but passable. Steady climb with lengths of flats proved moderate, not hard. Saw at least a handful of fellow hikers. The summit isn’t much to write home about, Trespass is where the beauty is at. Took the fire road down to complete the loop. Loose gravel made for a few near slip & falls, but mostly easy to navigate. The bottom of the fire road is essentially a field of shoulder height mustard grass. You can navigate your way through with ease but it will slow you down. I am satisfied with going counterclockwise, especially given the amount of mustard grass that we would have been greeted with had we chose to go clockwise. The counterclockwise loop, does leave the AMAZING views at your back but we appreciated the gradual climb vs and the quick finish this route allowed.
