It was a good hike to begin this challenge.  It was a clear and sunny day, not too warm and not too cold.  The view from the top was amazing with clear views of Catalina and the ocean as well as parts of OC cities.  Everyone on the trail was super friendly.  The trail was eroded in places and there was a lot of dry brush.  The last quarter/half mile on the way up was a challenging scramble.  Great way to begin the new year.
