We started from the college a little past 3pm and took our time hiking up to the top to catch the sunset. Not only did this provide amazing views, it also allowed most of the crowds to leave so we could take our time taking pictures. At no time was the trail or summit empty, though. After all, it was still early and it is Mission Peak! Got down around 7 and were the last two cars in the lot. Lots of cows during the day, including a couple right on the trail. One cow having a conversation with us in the dark. Also heard, but didn’t see, several owls around us.
