- I took a little stroll up to Strawberry Peak. It was a treat to hike it in the snow. I've been in snow there before, but it was on patches then. This time I was surprised how much snow was left, and how low it was.
- The trail was icy from the beginning, intermittent frozen slush at first then snow and icy patches, with long sections where the trail was beaten down snow. I used microspikes, I could have gotten by without, but I prefer not slipping, particularly on the parts where there's a drop off.
- It's an easy hike, and much more enjoyable when it's cool, and the snow this low was a treat.
