  1. I took a little stroll up to Strawberry Peak. It was a treat to hike it in the snow. I've been in snow there before, but it was on patches then. This time I was surprised how much snow was left, and how low it was.
  2. The trail was icy from the beginning, intermittent frozen slush at first then snow and icy patches, with long sections where the trail was beaten down snow. I used microspikes, I could have gotten by without, but I prefer not slipping, particularly on the parts where there's a drop off.
  3. It's an easy hike, and much more enjoyable when it's cool, and the snow this low was a treat.
