Microspikes were suitable to saddle (recommended crampons descending top sections to avoid injuries). Full mountaineering gear needed immediately after the saddle. I saw someone proceeded without them and it was foolish and unbelievably fortunate that nothing happen to them. Large sections of the trail only fit one foot at a time with sharp drop offs to the side. One small mistake and you’ll quickly need to self arrest with an axe. We broke trail most of the way. There was a good amount of ice and signs of unable slabs throughout ( layers collapsing and top layers breaking off). With more snow arriving 1/29-1/30 I would recommend staying away until the snow stabilizes.
