Wow!! this hike came in at 15.7 miles (loop) and it was no joke. It was challenging but oh so worth it. I started early because the lot tends to fill up and as I was hiking along I saw several office types that were seriously unprepared for that laid ahead!!

The trail right out of the gate is beautiful, peaceful and serene. All the things you would expect from a forest. As soon as you descend you hear the rush of water. That stays until about mile 5.5.  Thanks to all the rain we have had in SoCal the river, fall and multiple cascades did not disappoint.

The descent was not at all like the other side..it was dry, bushy and rocky.

I will warn you that this trail was like the 405 freeway…it was non stop people and dogs! Be prepared and allow extra time for that.

Glad I did this one early…it could be a hot one.
