I friend challenged me to join Social Hiker and take part in the SoCal Six-Pack of Peaks Hike. I'm always hiking something around Mission Trails in San Diego, with the hardest hike to date (before this hike) being El Cajon Mountain.
This was my first time hiking up to the High Point Fire Tower on Palomar. The day was perfect, along with the conditions. I knew there was going to be snow but was still surprised on how much snow was still on the trail. Everything went smooth, although at 14 miles this is a long day hike but well worth it. The views and scenerary were spectacular. I'll definately be doing this hike again.
I used the information from The Hiking Guy to prepare and he was spot on with his information: https://hikingguy.com/hiking-trails/hiking-san-diego/oak-grove-trail-to-high-point-hike/
