Piestewa Peak. Â Dec 31, 2019 @ 10AM. Â Total Distance: Â 2.4 miles. Â Elevation Gain: Â 1,180 ft.
This is a short hike;  only a mile to the summit, but also another popular hike located not too far from Camelback. Indeed, you get a great view of it. Just some rock scrambling before the summit, but standing room only at the top;  it was crowded!
To get there, you have to drive about 6 miles over primitive roads that are for the most part gentle enough, but there are 3 stream crossings that require some careful navigation.
