Hiked Mt Wilson from Chantry Flats with my buddy Cory.  Seemed like a good option for a hot So Cal day.  We ascended via Upper Winter Creek Trail with cool temperatures and plenty of shade.  There was poison oak everywhere, encroaching on the trail, and we had to tread carefully.  Poodle dog bush was growing rampant on the final push to Mt Wilson summit.  We enjoyed a hotdog and an Arnold Palmer at the Cosmic Cafe before heading down the Santa Anita Trail through Sturtevant Camp and by Sturtevant Falls.  This was a beautiful day on a beautiful trail.
