I did a solo hike for a day. I was just planning to do the Cucamonga and Ontario Peak. Thinking I don't want to go back to the Icehouse Saddle and continue to Ontario Peak. So, I decided to just bags 3 peaks in one day (including Big Horn Peak). Did 17 miles within 9 hours. Did really good with the time included the breaks and stayed at the peak
The Hike:
At the junction for Ontario and Big Horn. I took my 15-20 mins breaks for lunch before summiting Ontario. I enjoyed my little lunch time by myself with an amazing view. After my little lunch, started my hike toward Ontario. I started at 1120 and made it to the summit at 1220. I was a little slow due to a lot of hikers were infront of me and didn't made a way for me to pass them by. So I was following until they took a breathing that was then started moving faster. There was different groups going down and up. It was just too crowded. I head down and made it to the Icehouse Canyon by 1415.
Ontario Peak:
At the summit, whooooaaaaaa ???. It was packed. So I took few pictures and head down. I couldn't stay too long due to the crowd. But it was still a good and perfect day.
Trail Condition:
Easy hike for people who hike a lot and do more inclines. The trails are well maintained. Definitely, not getting lost on the trails. Free of snows.
