Our first adventure was getting to the trail head on the very bumpy, rocky road. I was concerned for our small car to be able to get through this rough road to the trail head. We did make it ok but now we have souvenir scratches on the side of the car from the bushes we drove past while trying to avoid the bumps and dips. This was a very beautiful hike though! One of my favorites by far! I don't know if getting back to regular gym work outs and eating and sleeping properly helped but this hike didn't seem too tough. It was a very quiet day and we only saw 5 other people total, none of them summited that day. 10 peaks down 2 to go!!
