The last time I did this hike I was with my sweet pup, Delilah. She was pretty popular that day on the trail! Everyone wanted to meet her along the way. And when we finally came scrambling up to the top, everyone cheered for her! It was a great experience for the both of us. This was her first BIG hike! I was so proud of her! That was back in August of last year. Unfortunately, she was not able to make it with me this time for the Six Pack of Peaks challenge. But just like I promised on my last hike up Cucamonga Peak, I released a part of her ashes at the top. She was with me in spirit and will forever be a part of the mountain.

She is the one pushing me through every mile of these hikes. When my mind reaches the point of exhaustion and I question why I even decide to do it… I see her… and I remember why we both started this in the first place!
