We started at 5am and were in the dark for the first hour. It had been a while since I hiked in the dark so it was a fun experience. Definitely made the uphill challenge more enjoyable not being able to see the UPHILL path ahead of you. We beat the crowds so the summit was enjoyable. However there were loads of people coming up the mountain on our descent so I'm sure it was crowded at the summit for the late hikers. We also did Big Horn which wasn't too challenging however the path was not clearly marked so it took us a lot longer to summit then expected. After viewing my hike in Alltrails when I got home I noticed we did a ton of zigzags trying to stay on the path. I guess you can call it our own switchbacks….. BigHorn was empty. We had the peak to ourselves.
