This was a great day to hike. It has been much cooler the past couple of days and I had cloud cover for most of the day. It felt great for a long, tough hike. After doing Cucamonga and Mt. Baldy this week on hotter days I felt pretty good about my speed on this one. I got to the saddle after an hour and 45 minutes. I chatted briefly with another hiker coming down from Ontario and he was the last person I saw until I got back down to the saddle again after the summit. There were much fewer people on the trail today and I'm not sure why since it was such a nice temperature. As I took a selfie at the summit since no one else was there I noticed some dark clouds overhead and decided I better head back down. For a while it looked like the clouds were going to move past, but just as I started down after the saddle there was a short rainstorm. Luckily it didn't last long and it felt pretty good. I knew that today would be a long hike, but since I did Cucamonga the other day I knew I could handle it. Great hike!
