Started on Trail @ 6:16. Already the parking lot was full. The weather was mild that early in the morning. Ranger was out checking permits. Closer to the peak following the Icehouse Saddle, there were a few downed trees. Most other hikers were headed to Cucamonga but all told I saw 20 hikers either at Ontario peak or on their way as I returned. reached the summit @9:19. Note that bagging the second peak, Big Horn Peak is a bit longer than it looks or perhaps feels after already bagging Ontario peak and as defined on All Trails backtracking to the main trail after reaching the peak is anticlimactic. If you prefer, instead of backtracking you can keep going forward after summiting Big Horn Peak and it connects again with the main trail back to Icehouse Saddle. But be sure you are on track as the trail is not often used and you can lose it. otherwise glad I added this to the list as last year when I came to the Saddle I too went to Cucamonga instead. I'll also make a plug for Kelly Camp very nice flat backwoods camping area.
