Trail was clear until a little past the saddle. Then there were large parts of the trail that were completely covered by snow. We just followed previous hikers’ footprints but still ended up off trail many times. Since we had downloaded the map we could easily find our way back to the trail. Poles and microspikes definitely needed that day.
