This was my first time to this peak, however, the first part of the hike is the same trail as my last hike to Cucamonga Peak. However, this time the fall colors were poppin’ which, combined with the rushing water for the first ~1.5 miles made the hike extra enjoyable. The parking lot was full when I arrived at 6:45. I started the hike at 7 a.m. and got to the peak just about 10 a.m. I stopped to take a load of pictures, soaking in the fall colors and flowing water. On my way down I ran into a group on the saddle that were part of the “Fools Traverse” which is some sort of mountain scavenger hunt…several of them were dressed up, one as a toucan. You don't see that everyday!
