We tracked this hike as 13.2 miles from Icehouse parking lot to Ontario Peak. Move time was ~5:55, pace 26.51.
This was another beautiful hike – lots of trees and shade for about 2/3 of the hike, somewhat more open towards the top. Once you branch off towards Ontario at the Saddle, it was much less crowded, which was great. The peak isn't too big of an area, but has some great photo opportunities climbing up on rocks or by the tree.
The one warning I'd share is BEES! There's a bush along many parts of the trail that the bees absolutely love. They don't bother you at all, but if you're very allergic, it might be worth waiting until this bush is out of bloom…
I hiked in my hiking pants and a sleeveless shirt, which worked well as the breeze stayed cool for virtually the entire hike, despite it being a fairly warm day elsewhere.
For water, I went through my 1.5L water bladder and a 20 oz Gatorlyte (and had an extra 20 oz water to spare).
