This was my first time all the way to Ontario without snow. It was wonderful! I always enjoy Icehouse Canyon. Always. Got started early enough but not too early. Was thankful to get a parking spot in the actual lot. I think the hike from the saddle to Ontario is definitely less challenging than Cucamonga, but it's still not easy! Even though I hiked this before, I don't remember the hike from the saddle to the peak being so long! What matters is that it was gorgeous. We saw amazing wildflowers and we also saw search and rescue folks doing training. A wonderful day that made me thankful for our SoCal mountains. As always.
