Trail is in mostly good condition. After all of the cold temps, rain, and snow the trail had some muddy sections. Part of the trail had flowing water so I had no choice but to walk in it. It was fun since I had waterproof boots. At the 4 corners junction I encountered a big group coming from the summit. This meant that I would have the summit to myself for about 20min. Last third of a mile is a steep incline and got the heart pumping. The stats – 9.8mi (Bear Ridge and Sitton Peak loop) , 2100’ elevation gain, 4hrs 15min with breaks, brought 2.5L water (drank 1L), 16oz. electrolytes, Honey Stinger waffle, and a chicken bake. Happy trails!
