San Jacinto is ripe for the picking! Great conditions today all the way to the peak. Temps were in the high 40's – low 60's and very few clouds in the sky. We clocked 15.7 miles in 9 hours. There's patches of snow throughout the hike, maybe 10% coverage. Micro spikes not needed at all, but watch out for the occasional knee deep snow step. The top was a little windy, but didn't keep us from enjoying lunch and soaking in the views. While long and consistently up hill, this hike isn't terribly difficult. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. The last 50 yards are a little steep, but that's the only section that's “hard”. The air certainly thins as you climb, but it's worth every step to finally bag San Jacinto!
