My husband and I celebrated our anniversary on New Year’s Eve by hiking the Peralta Trail to Fremont Saddle. We took the trail to the Lone Pine that overlooks Weaver’s Needle. Back on Peralta, we continued a little further, to the base of Weaver’s Needle. At that point we turned around and headed back to the saddle and down. The whole hike was 8.5 miles and took 3 hours, 42 min. This is the first time we’ve hiked in the Superstitions and it was beautiful and so different than other ranges near us. The drive in to the trailhead on the dirt road was a little tricky in our small car, but doable. It was a great hike to end the year.
