Just an incredible day to hike. Perfect weather and the scenery on MSJ is always impressive. I talked to a couple of PCT hikers and also two young women that are doing the 6 Pack and are also doing Whitney the day before me in July. I think this is the easiest hike of the 6 but in ways the most rewarding. The views at Wellman's are almost as good as the peak. And got an extra bonus of seeing about 6 deer on the way down. Don't forget to leave some supplies at the hut on top. Someday someone might need it.
