This was an interesting hike! You hike up the front of the mountain and then descend the back. That's where the cables come into play. They guide you down and then back up to the peak. There were some areas of cables where I questioned my choice to do this peak. As you're getting close to the top, there are some parts where you're pretty close to the edge, and there's a narrow climb where you're straddling a deep crevice in the rocks. That's where I lost one of my pins, because I was trying to pull myself up a high rock and dragged my backpack on a cable. I was not going to stop to recover the pin, though. After all that, it's pretty exhilarating to make it to the top. The return trip isn't as scary, since you've done it before. Really unique and challenging hike! A little scary, but I never consider turning around, so not *too* scary.
