We chose a beautiful day for this hike, starting off with a cool, brisk AZ Winter morning. We quickly warmed up as the trail wound up close to the face of the mountain. The trail is easy to follow to the saddle. Once you enjoy the view from the bench, its time to head down the cables, where all the fun begins. However, keep your eyes open for trail markers as you move forward. This was easily my favorite hike of the six-pack thus far. I will be back to Picacho's Playground. Hot tip – Make sure you bring a pair of gloves for the cablework.
