4km (2.5mi) of basically nonstop vertical. Think steep stairs (mostly natural but many manmade) then steeper stairs. The only actual scrambling is at the very top if you want to reach the highest point (but not the summit sign). This was my second hike of the day (Sunrise Peak in the morning) so my legs were pretty wobbly by the end. Passed lots of hikers (many without water!) at the start of the trail but as I didn’t see them on my way back down I assume many didn’t make it that far. Several trail runners (!!) later in the day.
