At first I thought about join the hike with the group, Ranger guided hike arranges by Picacho states park. But they start at around 8 am so I decided to go by myself. I started the hike around 730 am I spend 3:15 hours. The weather is around 45-50 it was  very chilling for me who originally from Thailand. I am amateur hiker but I am a marathon runner. The last three months I did Humphrys, Wrightson. Wilson and Bear mountain in Sedona I did solo hike. Then I came across this challenge. So I joined AZ winter challenges. I chose to do Pikachu Peak LOL because it close to Tucson where I live. I studied the trail and prepare accordingly. I brought glove in stead of hiking pole and I did not regret. I almost gave up when I reached to summit and climb up to the peak. The steel cable helps some what but keep in mind that it swings. If more than one person grabbed it creates unbalance and you may lost your grip.  Avoid to go on weekend because there is a long line to get to the top and come down. This is just my opinion and my fitness. I met some young folks that this hike can be a piece of cake for them. I made it to the top with a rollercoaster emotion. However, I am proud of this hike! and will continue to finish the challenge. I spread the word about this challenge along the trail.
