Beautiful day. Road in should be via SUV or truck. High clearance needed for some of the spots. Last mile to trailhead is mostly sand and we got stuck when I overshot the track and got into deep sand. Nothing a shovel and well placed logs couldn't fix. 4×4 will have no issues, but is not needed. Just stay in the track.

The hike itself was all UP! And the last half mile you have to look for the cairns and do some scrambling. Gorgeous view all the way up and the rock formations are wicked cool. Lots of mica speckled every where. I thought it was a bunch of broken glass at first. Glad it wasn't. Take plenty of water. There is no shade on the trail.
