Took the two hour drive down from LA and hit the trail shortly after 9:30 am. The first two miles were steep and my lack of exercise over the past several weeks was keenly felt. After the lengthy climb the trail became much nicer. I made it to the old fire lookout and took the trail to the actual peak. Spent some time relaxing by myself at the peak before heading down. Â Beautiful day to be out.
