Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

We adopted a dog.last week and this was our first hike with her. The trail was covered in snow 3/4 of the hike and quite.icy in patches. Crampons not strictly necessary but they sure did make life easier! Lots of trail runners out and the parking lot got packed early.
