As runners having most of our races cancelled for the year we have taken on new challenges to keep us motivated. Most of us hike and run as so joining the Six-Pack of Peaks was a no brainer.  Our Krew consists of members from both the Prineville Oregon Run Klub (PORK) and the Redmond Oregon Run Klub (RORK).

On an early Saturday morning we met up before sunrise to carpool to the trailhead. Arriving in the dark we geared up for the adventure up South Sister. Our group of eight, ranging ages from 20s to in the 60s made a plan to hike up to the summit and run down.  The summit was ours in about 3 hours. We were met with beautiful views and gusty winds. There was a bit of a haze due to recent fires but what we could see was worth the climb. After many photo ops the Krew started the descent.  The race was on. Due to some sore muscles a few hiked down but the majority ran to the bottom. The end was met with raised arms, cheers and a finishers beer.  South Sister Summit Challenge Complete!
