This hike was absolutely beautiful. Lots of greenery, even in the heat of summer. I knew it would be a long, slow slog uphill, but BOY was it long! 16 miles is definitely my longest hike to date. I thought it would be easier than it was because the elevation was so gradual, but those miles really added up. I'm super grateful to have completed this hike with a really supportive group–and almost all of us were first-timers on this peak. I was also surprised by how hard it was to find the trailhead. I definitely got lost, then felt like I was lost even once I was on the right track–it is really hidden!
