San G night hike for sunrise at summit.

Started at sunset from Mill Creek at Vivian Creek trail head. Cowboy camped (bags and pads only) at High Creek for a short power nap. Summit sunrise.

Vivian Creek and the meadows still have nice water flow and even water falls atypical for summer months. Three snow fields in the final 2.5 miles (the exposed rocky slope all Vivian Creek adventurers know well) pose some risk for descent when it becomes very slushy and all are on slopes. Two are easily circumvented but middle one requires crossing.

Two rangers checking permits.
