We hiked into Dry Lake with full packs and camped.   Spring water is available.   Following morning we day packed up to the peak, came back down packed up camp and hiked out with full packs.  This was a good two day trip, but makes for a long hike on day two.  There are a fair amount of rocks on the trail, heavier duty trail shoes might be helpful.
