Hiked with Friends That Hike. A few of us slept in our cars the night before. I got to hear what an avalanche sounds like. We started at 3:30 am and hiked for 3 hrs in the dark. Two people had to go back and one person was dropped off at a camp. 18 of us continued. It was rocky, it was woodsy, but that last leg of exposed hill burned the heck out of me. The weather overall was nice had I had sunscreen that last leg it would have been nicer. One of the girls was not feeling well going up and coming down which set us back because we had to slow down. The hard part of this hike is definitely the distance. Otherwise one of my easier hikes. In our return we split into groups and I stayed with my turtle hikers. We arrived at our car at 8:30. Those damn switchbacks were so slippery coming down. It definitely slowed us down.
