Bugs:

Bugs were terrible

Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

We started the hike at around 8 AM and the weather was cool and comfortable. The trail was almost always shady on the way up, with waterfalls and streams regularly cutting across the path. One disadvantage of the beautiful scenery was the bugs and I was bitten and harassed the entire trip up. Would definitely recommend mass murdering the little imbeciles. We reached the top at around 12:30 and spent a regrettable nearly two hours at the top before descending. On the way down, the bugs significantly lessened for reasons I do not understand but greatly appreciate, and there was much more sun. I also felt an drastic increase in the need to die as we neared the bottom. At 7:00 PM, I arrived back at the trailhead and overall, I hated everything. The waterfalls were great, the shade was plentiful, and the scenery enjoyable. But make no mistake, I still hated it. If you were looking for someone who loves hiking, keep looking. I loath the pitiful excuse for an activity. Also, lobsters.
