On a picture perfect day, we managed to bag Hike #6 on The Challenge, just under the wire. The trail itself is rather ho-hum. This dusty, rocky dirt road of a trail was not our first choice, but with many of the other peaks filled with snow and 2022's days dwindling down, Santiago, it had to be. The hike was not a difficult one. Probably the most difficult part was staying out of the way of occasional dirt bikes and 4×4 vehicles. Once at the top, amongst the many towering antennas, we were able to locate the survey marker, the official highest point on the peak. There was no peak sign to be found, but it didn't matter. After taking in the awesome views and basking in our glory, we saved enough energy to lift our champagne glasses, toasting our accomplishment, thinking “How Bad Are We !!!”
