We took I5 north from the 76, off at Oso.  When we reached the Maple Springs Visitor Center we continued up the paved road, then slowly continued on the dirt road.  We stopped short of the larger parking lot due to not knowing if the road was going to get worse, but we could have made it to the gate and the larger parking lot.  We were in a Honda Pilot.  Drive slow, and you can make it to the white gate, then hike the 9.5-10 miles to the peak.  My hiking partner found the Geo marker on the top of a small mound near an antennae, coming back from the four stickered poles.  Good Luck!  You can do it!

  1. Awesome photos. I’ve only done this hike in winter conditions so visibility up top was minimal. I’ll have to explore up there a bit more next time

  2. Thank you. This was super helpful! I have a Toyota Sienna and haven’t been able to figure out if I can make it to the Maple Springs trailhead.
