As a person of OC I was very excited for the addition of local peaks! Santiago was an early conquest for me this year so I already had it in the bag when it was announced!

A little over a year ago, this was my first peak hike and first long hike in general. I was invited by a friend and had no idea I’d end up sucked into a hobby that basically consumes my life (peak bagging yes, but mostly I just mean hiking in general).

It’s probably my favorite spot in Orange County so of course I wanted to visit in spring and see all the wildflowers!

The flowers were so amazing we got sucked into the scenery and took a wrong turn and took an awkwardly long time to realize… The day ended with 21 miles!
