From Maple Springs trailhead you will need a 4 wheel drive to reach the dirt parking lot at the start. From there it’s a 5 mile hike along a rocky dirt road shared with vehicles coming up and down. There are a decent amount of bugs, recommend spray or a bug net. At the summit there’s a nice view of the mountains, but the experience is detracted by the numerous radio towers and loud machinery noises. Also I didn’t see a summit sign. Fun hike overall, but probably will not hike it more than once.
