Long…. Hike…..  25 miles out and back.  Distance was the challenge with this peak, the incline and decline wasnt too difficult.   5,687 ft peak, elevation gain was 4,364 ft.   8.10 hours of moving time.  First 3 miles of the trail is blacktop fireroad, remainig of the trail to the top is rocky fireroad. Running water in the stream that travels along the trail.  Monday hike, no other hikers on the trail, few off road vehichles and some motorcycles so stay to the right, couple of them came flying around corners.  Not a lot of tree coverage,  glad to get this checked off the list before is gets too hot.  Overall great hike with my son!!
