Peak 3 for the weekend (Strawberry & Baden-Powell yesterday). No particular effect from yesterday's runs. The slightly swollen right ankle from an ankle roll on Baden-Powell was not a problem. Got up a bit later than I wanted after a late night last night. I was at the trailhead around 6:30. Still beat the heat and only saw one party on the way up. One person had made the peak with his dog a bit before me. We had a nice conversation up on top. Up and down in a tick over 2 hours.
I had read a review that suggested long pants due to the overgrown nature of the trail. Since I was running I didn't bring the pants the local flora tore my legs put pretty good, especially on the Bear Ridge trail (run on the way up). The alternate trail for this section, Bear Canyon, was not overgrown so if you are in shorts it is probably a good option.
