This is a serious hike! Not that the other 5 were easy, but San Gorgonio is a level up.

We started at the break of dawn, enjoyed more that 4 hours of hiking in the shade, before getting grilled. The trail is beautiful, and beside the 2nd section and a few hundred feet close to the top not that steep; quite pleasant actually. I was surprised to see the water flowing in the creeks in September.

This was the only of the 6 hikes with people in distress. Right at the beginning someone twisted his ankle, and on the way down there was one hiker suffering from altitude sickness bad enough to call for a heli evac.

We went into this hike with a lot of respect given the length, altitude and temperatures. It took us 12 hours round trip and we used all 2 gallons of water we were carrying. It was the most tiring hike of the challenge!
