Well, I thought the sign that said Espinosa Trail connected to Corte Madera would surely work. I followed it through the lowland valleys with all these curves and no mountain range really to climb. By the time the trail did go uphill, I had discovered a closed gate with barbed wire fencing. So, I turned back. Unfortunately, I went too far to correct my error because my water supply was essential. I wish I read the description on here a little more closely to look for Corte Madera Mountain trail. The park didn't give good information. No mile markers and nowhere did it mention Corte Madera except on the trashcan from the beginning of the hike where Espinosa is first introduced. Although, I couldn't make it to the peak, I spent nearly 3 1/2 hours out there. It was worth a great workout.
